Doing focused worked, continuous improvement, adaptive planning…and these are all well-known and discussed in various degrees throughout the Agile/Scrum body of knowledge and community. But one thing that rarely gets attention is how to lead teams well.
Yet teams are the most important – if not a little mysterious – elements of performance culture. There’s something about a group of people huddled together with common purpose that generates its own energy – trust, support, engagement…right? Hmmm. How come my team isn’t like that? I have dissenters, grumblers…and people who just seem to be phoning it in.
The area of focus for the next few podcasts is how to build great teams. In this episode, we introduce the topic and talk about why teams are so important, and what qualities are indicative of good teams.
